How to Give a Technical Consultant Access to Your Wix Website (So They Can Work Their SEO Magic)

You’ve hired someone (hi, it’s me!) to help clean up your website’s SEO, but now Wix is asking, “Do you want to invite a collaborator?” and you’re like, Sure, but how?!

Let’s walk through how to create a Wix account and invite a tech-savvy human like yours truly (Alex from Neat Freak Tech) so I can dive in, fix the SEO clutter, and help your site show up when people Google the things you do best.

Step 1: If You Don’t Have a Wix Account Yet, Here’s How to Make One

1. Go to wix.com

2. Click “Get Started” or “Sign Up”

3. Create your account using:

   • An email + password OR

   • Your Google/Facebook login (just make sure you remember how you logged in)

   
   

Pro tip: Use a business email if you have one - it’ll help you keep your logins and project separate from personal stuff.

Step 2: Grant Me Access as a Collaborator

This is the part where I get to swoop in and work my magic:

1. In your Wix Dashboard, click the Settings tab on the left sidebar.

2. Search for, or scroll down and click “Roles & Permissions.”

3. Click the “+ Invite Collaborators” button.

4. Choose the Yes, Continue button.

5. Enter my email: [alex@neatfreaktech.com]

6. Under Role, choose “Website Manager” (so I can access SEO tools, site settings, and do the actual optimizing).

7. Hit "Send Invite" (back at the top of the page)

   
   

I’ll get an email from Wix with access to your site. You will get an email when I accept.

What I’ll Do Once I’m In

Here’s what you can expect from me once I’m on your team:

• Research your current SEO state

• Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, and image alt text

• Fix duplicate content or SEO errors

• Connect your site to Google Search Console and submit your sitemap

• Clean up anything that’s dragging your site down in search rankings
